Jennifer Lawrence Unsure About X-Men Return

‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ star Jennifer Lawrence isn’t sure if she’ll be back…

During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the 25-year-old ‘X-Men’ actress revealed that she isn’t sure about reprising the role of Mystique in future movies.

“I would love to come back,” she said. “I love the fans and I love the character. But then you realize how important your year is, like how important three months out of your year is. I don’t know. I shouldn’t be that honest.”

Of course, it’s widely known that ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ marks the end of Jennifer Lawrence’s ‘X-Men’ contract… along with co-stars James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender.

And if 20th Century Fox wants any of them to return, they may be facing quite a negotiation.

“Fassbender and McAvoy and I were all talking,” she said. “Like, ‘Will you come back?’ ‘I dunno.’ ‘I’ll come back, if you come back.’ Fox should be terrified because the deal we made was like if one of us doesn’t come back, none of us are.”

Jennifer Lawrence signed up to the new wave of ‘X-Men’ movies with the first in the new series, ‘X-Men: First Class’ which saw Professor X and co revisited as their younger selves.

But after several appearances as Mystique, Lawrence is getting tired of all that makeup.

“You go in and you realize you’re rock bottom and like this sucks and it could not suck more,” she says of the experience.

And on top of that, she’s since become one of the most desirable actresses in Hollywood.

Does this mean Jennifer Lawrence will turn down the next ‘X-Men’ movie?

For now, we’ll have to wait and see… but Fox will need to do some convincing.

‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ opened in cinemas on 18 May 2016.
