Yahoo Movies Jeremy Allen White shares awkward group body shaving experience for new movie
The Bear's Jeremy Allen White has shared details about a rather awkward experience with his castmates while filming his new movie.
The actor is starring in upcoming drama The Iron Claw, alongside Zac Efron and Harris Dickinson.
In a column for Variety, White recalled an experience early in the filming process, when they had to be completely shaved for the role.
"Our bodies had to be completely shaved," he said. "We were strangers at the time. Now I know them and love them, but at the time, it was like: 'Hi, nice to meet you and yes, they're shaving off all of our body hair.'

"It was incredible, but we also looked ridiculous."
White's co-star Dickinson agreed, emphasising that "they shaved everything" in preparation for the part.
The Iron Claw, released early next year in the UK, tells the true story of the Von Erich brothers, Kerry (White), Kevin (Efron), David (Dickinson) and Mike (Stanley Simons), who made history in the world of wrestling in the 1980s.
Written and directed by Martha Marcy May Marlene's Sean Durkin, the film will look at the Von Erich family's lives both inside and outside the ring. Also in the cast are the likes of Maura Tierney, Holt McCallany and Lily James.

Shaving wasn’t the only daunting task involved for the group of actors – they also had to fit into some rather revealing costumes for the wresting scenes.
"It was always smaller, always shorter," White said. "It was never: 'Cover up their skin.' I don't think any of us were confident in those first fittings. We were like: 'We have a lot of work to do.'"
White will be a regular presence on screen next year, as it was recently confirmed by FX that The Bear has been renewed for a third season.
The Iron Claw will be released in the US on December 22 and in the UK on February 9, 2024.
