Jill Scott still "has to pinch herself" that 'A League of Their Own' is actually her job.

The 37-year-old retired footballer - who called time on her career in 2022 - went onto win 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' before moving further into the TV world last year as she joined the Sky panel show alongside Micah Richards and Jamie Redknapp.

She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I have to pinch myself that this is even work."

The former Lioness - who was part of the legendary team that woon the European Champions two years ago - admitted more people talk to her about becoming Queen of the Jungle than they do about her exploits on the pitch.

She said: "People go, 'I recognise you!' I say, 'It might be because the women won the Euros'.

"They say, 'No, no, it's definitely the jungle when you were eating goat testicles!' I love people, I love conversation so I don't mind."

Jill has loved working with 'A League of Their Own' co-stars Jamie and Micah for a new series, and she can't believe the people she gets to share the screen with.

She added: "Some of the people I've worked with – Roy Keane, Gary Neville, Jamie Redknapp, Micah Richards – I have to pinch myself because they were my heroes growing up.

"If it all ends tomorrow I'd just be so grateful at what I've gotten to do. Hopefully it won't!"

Meanwhile, Jill previously described 'I'm A Celebrity' as the "icing on the cake" after winning the Euros earlier the same year.

She told HELLO! magazine: "The Euros was something I worked my a*** off for every single day of my 16 years of playing for England.

"It was the best moment of my life, getting that gold medal and now, to know I’ve retired with women's football in such a better place, if you’ve contributed even one percent, then that fills my heart with joy.

"Nothing can beat the Euros win, but I guess the jungle has been the icing on the cake."
