J.K. Simmons Trainer Reveals How ‘Justice League’ Actor Got So Pumped

Pictures of J.K. Simmons working out in a Los Angeles gym in preparation of his role in as Commissioner Jim Gordon in ‘Justice League have taken the internet by storm over the last few days.

And looking at the 61-year-old Oscar-winning actor’s muscle-bound torso it’s understandable. These pictures of Simmons in full-swing were uploaded by ex-Marine Aaron Williamson to his Instagram page, and now the fitness expert, who has previously trained with The Rock and Zac Efron, has been discussing Simmons’ regime with TMZ.

Rather interestingly Williamson insisted that he wasn’t aware if Simmons, who he described as the most natural trainer he’s ever worked with, had got into shape for his role as Commissioner Gordon in ‘Justice League’, refusing to comment on this speculation.

Instead, Williamson added, “[Simmons] is just a really good friend of mine, and he’s been training now for a couple of years. He’s just now wanted to adapt a new lifestyle and see what he could do with his physique, because he’s feeling better about the way his training has progressed.”

For those of you looking to imitate Simmons’ new, hugely impressive physical demeanour, Williamson also discussed the plan he outlined to mould his client’s new body.

“I like to refer to it as blood volume training,” Williamson explained. “Basically you are trying to hit the muscle from as many different angles as you can, you’re just trying to flush it with as much blood. What ends up happening is the muscle looks more defined and more ripped.”

Williamson not only added that Simmons was able to do this without lifting many weights, which meant that it was easier on the ligaments and on the joints, but he also took the role of the actor’s manager by insisting that he knew Simmons was now looking for a role where he can “showcase his guns a little bit.”

Obviously, a J.K. Simmons led revenge action film now needs to happen. Before then though we’ll get to see J.K. Simmons’ bodacious bod in ‘Justice League’ when it’s released in November, 2017.

And from the looks of things Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, and Aquaman will be taking a backseat and allow Simmons’ beefy Commissioner Gordon to do most of the heavy lifting.
