Keanu Reeves is fighting for his life in the 'John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum' first trailer
Keanu Reeves is back on fighting form in the John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum first trailer.
At the end of the last film, a global contract was taken out on his life and according to the trailer, it is worth $14 million.
Needless to say, there are more than a few hitmen and women ready to collect and take John down and it seems there are few left who are willing to aid him in his time of need.
Halle Berry could be one of Wick’s allies joining the franchise as fellow assassin Sophie, who shares a history with our titular hero, as well as Laurence Fishburne’s The Bowery King though either one could easily switch on him.
Ian McShane is also back as Continental Hotel owner Winston though he might be an adversary now after John killed Santino D’Antonio on the grounds of the hotel.
This means John is excommunicated from the secret society of assassins and is an open target.
Anjelica Huston joins the cast as The Director, someone who John seeks help from but judging by the trailer she is unwilling to give it to him.
And of course, it wouldn’t be a John Wick movie without some animals and the trailer shows not just a couple of dogs but our hero riding a horse too.
Here’s the official synopsis:
John Wick (Keanu Reeves) is on the run for two reasons… he’s being hunted for a global $14 million dollar open contract on his life, and for breaking a central rule: taking a life on Continental Hotel grounds.
The victim was a member of the High Table who ordered the open contract. John should have already been executed, except the Continental’s manager, Winston, has given him a one-hour grace period before he’s “Excommunicado” – membership revoked, banned from all services and cut off from other members. John uses the service industry to stay alive as he fights and kills his way out of New York City.
John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum is in cinemas on 17 May
