Kelly Macdonald compares Operation Mincemeat to Line of Duty
Kelly Macdonald says she is "much happier in an ensemble" cast like Operation Mincemeat rather than taking centre stage, like in her Line of Duty interrogation scene.
The 46-year-old told Yahoo that her guest lead role in the blockbuster BBC crime series was "challenging but very rewarding", despite the intense pressure.
Operation Mincemeat is in UK cinemas from 15 April.

TOM BEASLEY: Kelly, I've just been talking to Colin and Matthew about how the basement sets really helped amplify the pressure cooker feel of some of those scenes. I guess, is that something that was true for you? And how does those scenes compare to being interrogated, on Line Of Duty?
KELLY MACDONALD: Oh, I much prefer-- I'm much happier in an ensemble, where everybody's in the room doing their own work. It was a great set, actually. We were in there for quite a while.
PENELOPE WILTON: Very good set. Yes. It felt like the room.
KELLY MACDONALD: Yeah. I think the art direction was incredible. But Line Of Duty was just so like bright lights, and it's stark. And it's just talking. It's just-- yeah. It was challenging but very rewarding.
