Kiefer Sutherland has paid tribute to his father Donald following his passing, saying he led a “life well lived”.

Donald, known for his role as President Snow in The Hunger Games series, passed away earlier today (June 20) at the age of 88 after a long illness, and now his son Kiefer has written a touching tribute on X/Twitter.

“With a heavy heart, I tell you that my father, Donald Sutherland, has passed away,” began Kiefer, best known for his role as Jack Bauer in 24. “I personally think one of the most important actors in the history of film. Never daunted by a role, good, bad or ugly. He loved what he did and did what he loved, and one can never ask for more than that. A life well lived.”
