LEGO Batman Gets Awesome First Teaser Trailer

It’s official – ‘The LEGO Batman Movie’ is awesome.

The first official teaser trailer for ‘LEGO Batman’ debuted today… and with Will Arnett returning as everyone’s favourite gravel-voiced LEGO superhero, it looks as though ‘The LEGO Movie’ spin-off could be a huge hit.

At least, if this new trailer is anything to go by.

“The Batcave is even better than we remembered it,” said the film’s star, Will Arnett during an interview with USA Today. “It’s awesome. But I also love getting into the ho-hum day-to-day of being Batman and what it’s like to fight crime each day.”

“Like the idea of Batman oversleeping his alarm clock makes me laugh,” he added. And if you’ve always wanted to watch the Dark Knight re-heating some Lobster Thermidor, this trailer really is for you. “It really does humanise him.”

And if you look closely, you’ll even catch a glimpse of the various different Batman costumes hung up in the Batcave.

The story of ‘LEGO Batman’ revolves around the solitary minifigure, living alone in his isolated Batcave with only his manservant Alfred for company. That is, until Dick Grayson and Batgirl turn up… and throw his life into disarray.

“Batman is an island onto himself, the only thing he doesn’t have is relationships,” says director Chris McKay. “We’re making About a Boy as directed by (action director) Michael Mann.”

And the ‘LEGO Batman’ teaser even gives us a glimpse of the LEGO Justice League…

‘LEGO Batman’ stars Will Arnett as Batman, with Michael Cera as Robin and Rosario Dawson as Batgirl. Ralph Fiennes will voice Batman’s iconic butler, Alfred, with Zach Galifianakis as his classic comic book nemesis, The Joker.

‘LEGO Batman’ heads to cinemas on 10 February 2017.
