A major Star Wars announcement is coming tomorrow
There’s a disturbance in the Force…
A big ‘Star Wars’ announcement is coming… but we have no idea what it is.
‘Good Morning America’ teased a big ‘Star Wars’ announcement today, due to be revealed on their morning show tomorrow, 11 April 2017. Teasing big news, they revealed that both Mark Hamill and Daisy Ridley will be live in Times Square for the big reveal.
But what is it?

It’s the first we’ve heard of this big announcement, which is said to be in honour of the 40th anniversary of ‘Star Wars: A New Hope’. The video teases that it’s going to be something big – that fans will want to “be a part of this Force”.
Apparently, the announcement is “40 years in the making.”
So what could it be?
A Star Wars: The Last Jedi Teaser?
Already, fans are speculating that this could lead to an official reveal of the first trailer for ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ – the upcoming sequel to ‘The Force Awakens’. But I can’t help thinking this would be a massive let down.
After all, we’re expecting a trailer sooner or later.
Not quite the massive announcement that the GMA video would lead us to believe. Of course, it’s entirely possible that they’re over-egging this a bit. But I’m hoping it’s a bit more substantial than that.
A Star Wars Original Trilogy Re-Release?
It’s no secret that fans have wanted to see the original, unaltered ‘Star Wars’ trilogy for some time… and it was recently rumoured that we might eventually get what we want. But could it be coming sooner than we thought?
This would be huge news for fans – able to finally watch the original ‘Star Wars’ movies without the addition of George Lucas’ VFX improvements – the ones he added in the special editions.
But again, this isn’t quite the huge announcement we’re hoping for.
At the moment, it’s unclear exactly what this big announcement will be about… and I can’t help thinking that it has to be something really huge to avoid being underwhelming. Quite what that means remains to be seen.
But either way, we’ll find out tomorrow.
‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ will star Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher.
Rian Johnson both wrote and directed the movie.
‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ heads to cinemas on 15 December 2017.
