Whatever you’ve been up to in coronavirus quarantine, you probably haven’t been quite as busy as Tony Goldmark — the man who has put together a MCU chronology, scene by scene.
The results of his project have gone viral on social media, detailing the way to watch all 23 Marvel movies in order of where each scene fits in the broader MCU timeline.

His order starts with the prologue of Thor: The Dark World and concludes with Spider-Man: Far From Home — a rare example of a movie this timeline suggests watching in its entirety.
In a blog post discussing the project, Goldmark writes that it was mostly out of “nerdy curiosity” that he embarked on a massive rewatch of the series via Disney+ while on coronavirus lockdown.
The enthusiasm of Marvel fans knows no bounds and, already, someone has taken up the task of editing this new order into a mammoth supercut.
Goldmark confessed that the numerous time travel sequences in Avengers: Endgame presented a challenge for his order and that this list is “strictly a nifty experiment for fans”, rather than an actual viewing suggestion.

He added: “I can’t stress enough that this list is for MCU superfans only.
“If there are any MCU movies you haven’t seen yet, I most emphatically recommend ignoring my list entirely and deferring to how the filmmakers wanted you to see them.
“I’m in no way suggesting that this is an inherently preferable viewing order; the pacing is extremely odd and wonky, and it’s front-loaded with way too many prologues that you’re bound to forget entirely by the time they become relevant.”
Much like the rest of Hollywood, the MCU is currently on something of a hiatus amid the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
