Yahoo Movies Melissa Barrera's new movie confirms UK release
Melissa Barrera's latest movie Your Monster is set for a UK release.
The Scream star appears in the comedy-horror as Laura, an actor who returns to her childhood home after struggling through illness and a breakup.
There, she discovers a monster (Tommy Dewey) living in her closet who she develops a close bond with.
Following its festival run, Your Monster has been snapped up for a UK release date by distribution company Vertigo Releasing, with a date yet to be confirmed (per Variety).

Vertigo's head of acquisitions and business development Ed Caffrey said: "We fell in love with Your Monster during Sundance, so it was very exciting to see the Sundance London audience connect so strongly with the film. We can’t wait to bring it to UK cinemas."
The Abigail actor also stars alongside The White Lotus's Meghann Fahy, Call Jane's Kayla Foster, and Civil War's Edmund Donovan in the film, which won the Audience Favourite Award at this year's Sundance London.
It comes after Barrera was dropped from the Scream franchise following comments she made amid the Israel and Palestine war.
After Barrera's exit, fellow star Jenna Ortega and the movie's director Christopher Landon also left the franchise.

Discussing the support she's received from Scream fans, she told Entertainment Weekly: "It was very beautiful, very unexpected. Obviously, I just didn't know what the reaction was going to be.
"Seeing the love and the support from the fans, the people that understand that it's bigger than a movie — what's happening is not just about a movie, it's something deeper — I'm very grateful.
"To see the support from the [Scream] fans, I just felt very validated. It was beautiful in that moment where I felt so lonely and scared and just in a dark place. To feel them lifting me was beautiful."
