Rumour has it that Hollywood’s hottest actor is in talks for a role in Zack Snyder’s Batman vs Superman.

The 27-year-old actor is set to play Johnny Storm, aka The Human Torch, in Josh Trank’s upcoming Fantastic Four reboot, but recent speculation suggests that Jordan could pull double duty in the DC movie universe.

Latino Review claims that there is a role for a “black actor in his early 20s who is also physically fit” in the Man of Steel sequel, while sources claim Snyder has met with Jordan.

The news follows reports that Victor Stone, also known as Cyborg, could appear in the movie - a role that Jordan provided the voice for in the animation Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox.

Jordan, meanwhile has shrugged off criticism of his casting in Fantastic Four, telling TMZ: "They're still gonna go see it anyway."

Kate Mara will play the actor’s on-screen sister Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman in the Fox reboot, while Miles Teller takes on the role of Reed Richards and Jamie Bell will play The Thing.

The Fantastic Four is scheduled for release in 2015, while Batman vs. Superman will hit cinemas in May 2016.
