Michael Douglas makes 'Hollywood-style' trailer for £26m Mallorca villa after it fails to sell
Michael Douglas has thrown himself into a 'Hollywood-style' trailer in an attempt to try and sell his multi-million pound villa in Mallorca. Watch it above.
The sprawling s’Estaca estate has languished on the property market for five years, with a price tag of £26 million.
But this is almost half of the original £48 million asking price when it first went on sale in 2014.

As such, Douglas has stepped in, providing a voice-over for a promotional video for upmarket German estate agents Engel & Völkers, which is calling the property ‘perhaps the most exclusive villa on Mallorca’.
“In the mid-19th century, Archduke Ludwig Salvator of Habsburg bought a large piece of land on the northwest coast of the island of Mallorca, and began to create a magical retreat,” he explains.
“My life has taken a new course, and now it is time for me to let someone else enjoy the privilege and the adventure of s’Estaca.”
Douglas bought the estate in 1990, half an hour’s drive from the city of Palma, with his then wife Diandra Luker, for a reported $3.5 million.
The property features a historical main building, a gatehouse, a mill house, a sports and massage room, a gym, an artist’s studio and its own private harbour, and sits between the Serra de Tramuntana UNESCO World Heritage Site on one side, and the Mediterranean on the other.
It was split as a timeshare between Luker and Douglas when they parted ways in 2000, and it's said he's holidayed there less frequently since his marriage to Catherine Zeta-Jones nearly 20 years ago.
