Early in the film, Red calls Andy Dufresne’s dream of living in Zihuatanejo when he leaves prison: “a s***ty pipe dream”. How does Tim Robbin’s character escape the prison to live his dream? Through a sewage pipe – literally “a s***ty pipe”.

Amazing movie details: The holochess in ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ (2015)
In JJ Abrams’ long-awaited ‘Star Wars’ sequel, Finn accidentally activates the holochess (dejarik) board on the Millennium Falcon. The game picks up in EXACTLY the same place as it was when we last saw Chewbacca and C-3PO playing it back in 1977’s ‘Star Wars’.

The coffee shop owner in ‘Pulp Fiction’ is listed as “Coffee Shop” in the credits, because his sole line of dialogue in the film gets cut short by Tim Roth. A classic dad joke from Tarantino there.

Amazing movie details: The mall sign in ‘Back To The Future’ (1985)
When Marty first travels back to 1955 while being chased by Libyan terrorists at the Twin Pine Malls in 1985, he accidentally destroys a tree on the historic site of the mall. When we later revisit the same scene, we learn how his actions have altered history when the mall is renamed “Lone Pine Mall”. Subtle, but smart.

Trailers for ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ have revealed Luke Skywalker’s robotic hand still bears the blaster marks he received in 1983’s ‘Return of the Jedi’ when he was helping Han Solo escape from Jabba’s skiff.
