It’s finally happened – Morgan Freeman is now the voice of a satnav.
Starring in the upcoming ‘London Has Fallen’, Morgan Freeman has now given us one of the weirdest movie tie-ins of all time – a themed GPS navigation voice.
And the best part? He talks to you as though you’re the president…
‘London Has Fallen’ – the upcoming sequel to the original ‘Olympus Has Fallen’ – stars Gerard Butler as Secret Service agent Mike Banning… but most crucially, it also features Morgan Freeman as Congressman Martin Trumble, a true veteran politician and now, the voice of your daily commute.
“The American people are counting on you… to drive. Let’s go.”
It’s enough to send shivers down your spine during your next drive-through McDonalds.
“The time has arrived, President Wazer,” he’ll say. “The world awaits your commands.“ And when you finally arrive at work? “You’ve arrived… It’s been my honour and duty to see you through this mission.”
But how do you get Morgan Freeman to navigate your next drive?
“Morgan Freeman (a.k.a. the vice president of the U.S., the voice of God, the narrator of penguin’s lives) is ready to guide you safely to your destination as a new celebrity voice on Google’s navigation app, Waze,” explains Entertainment Online. “To have Freeman dictate your driving directions all you have to do is open up Waze and click Settings > Sound > Voice Language > Morgan Freeman. Boom, you’re in business!”
‘London Has Fallen’ stars Gerard Butler, Morgan Freeman, and Jackie Earle Hayley.
‘London Has Fallen’ heads to cinemas on 3 March 2016.
