Kate Beckinsale: Colin Farrell ‘awkward’ in Total Recall sex scenes

The pair were being watched by her director husband

Kate Beckinsale has revealed ‘Total Recall’ co-star Colin Farrell found filming sex scenes ‘awkward’ when shooting for the movie.

This may come as a bit of a surprise as the pair used to date, but the man behind the film, director Len Wiseman, is her husband.

Speaking to The Sun she said, ‘I’ve done it with somebody else in front of my husband before so I think it was actually more awkward for Colin.’

‘He was the one who was like, ‘Are we done? Are we good?’.

However, although Wiseman, who is directing the pair in the remake of the 1990’s Schwarzenegger classic, felt comfortable watching the ex lovers in clinches Kate has revealed she wouldn’t feel the same.

‘It’s nice that Len is not very jealous and can be relaxed about me doing these scenes, but he would never be allowed to do that,’ she said.

Beckinsale also admitted it was ‘strange’ being directed by her husband as he’s usually the one taking direction from her at home.

‘Total Recall’ is out in the UK August 29 and sees Beckinsale taking over the role of Lori (originally played by Sharon Stone) who is Douglas Quaid’s (Colin Farrell) wife in the sci-fi remake.
