Sian Welby wants to do better than Roman Kemp on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!'

The ‘Capital FM Breakfast Show’ presenter wants to follow in her co-star's footsteps by taking part in the ITV reality show, and she admitted she's "always" been keen on the idea.

Speaking to the Metro newspaper's Sixty Seconds column, the 35-year-old star said: “I want to do I’m A Celeb. Roman came third in 2019 and has banged on about it ever since so I want to go in there and come at least second.

"I genuinely have always wanted to go on it. You get to meet Ant and Dec, test yourself and also make friends. But yeah, I just want to be Roman.”

The ITV star-studded reality competition is currently running its 21st season - which due to COVID-19 is being filmed at Gwrych Castle in Wales for the second year in a row instead of the Australian jungle - and features Naughty Boy, Frankie Bridge, Danny Miller and other stars.

Meanwhile, the former Channel 5 weather presenter also expressed another talent of hers; being the “perfect pub quiz team member” after picking up plenty of facts on the job.

She said: “I know the weirdest facts so i’m your perfect pub quiz team member. I’ve picked up weird things such as Taylor Swift’s first job when had to shake insects out of Christmas trees or that squid have three hearts.”

And as an avid social media user, the Sian admitted it can be a “challenge” to be show off her sense of humour while avoiding trolls.

She added: “I try and keep out of the carnage but I’m very lucky to have not had too much negativity. I see it as a challenge to be as funny as you can in the shortest amount of time possible - 15 second videos on Instagram or 280 characters on Twitter.”
