'The King's Man' trailer: Ralph Fiennes and Rasputin star in 'Kingsman' prequel first look
20th Century Fox has released the first trailer for Matthew Vaughn’s The King’s Man, its prequel to 2014’s Kingsman: The Secret Service and 2017’s Kingsman: The Golden Circle.
Set in the World War I era, the new film stars Ralph Fiennes (as T.E. Lawrence of Lawrence of Arabia fame) and Harris Dickinson as the mentor-mentee duo who appear to be cut from the same cloth as Colin Firth’s Harry Hart and Taron Egerton’s Eggsy in the originals.
Watch the first trailer below.
The film will explore real life events at the turn of the last century, where the duo will come face to face with figures such as Rasputin (played by Rhys Ifans), as they look to defeat a global plot from history’s worst tyrants.
Here’s the official synopsis: As a collection of history’s worst tyrants and criminal masterminds gather to plot a war to wipe out millions, one man must race against time to stop them. Discover the origins of the very first independent intelligence agency in THE KING’S MAN.

Originally titled The Great Game, The King’s Man is coming to cinemas in February 2020 ahead of Kingsman 3 which will be the concluding part of Eggsy and Harry’s story.
"We've got to finish off the Eggsy and Harry relationship," Matthew Vaughn told Digital Spy earlier this year. "The final chapter of their relationship needs to be told, which we've got ready to do, and I'm hoping to shoot that later this year or the beginning of next year.
"But this Kingsman (prequel) has been pushed back to February 14th for coming out, and so, yeah, as soon as that's done, we're looking forward to… It's funny. As Taron was saying, he's looking forward to becoming Eggsy again, because emotionally it's a lot less draining."
