Nazis already hate Rogue One, here’s why
While ‘Rogue One’ is still a few days away from release, Neo-Nazis have already decided that they’re not fans of the blockbuster.
According to Raw Story, a Reddit post from GenFrancoPepe on the subreddit r/altright entitled, “(((Star Wars))) Is Anti-White Social Engineering” popped up on the website and accused ‘Rogue One’ of being a “Jew masturbation of anti-white hatred.”
It then went on to complain about how “nearly all of the major characters are non-whites and the main character is an empowered white female,” points that most people have seen as both progressive and impressive
One user even predicted that ‘Rogue One’ is going to be a financial failure for Lucasfilm and Disney, explaining, “You can push the female heroes as much as you like, but even most women don’t find it interesting.”
They then called for a boycott to ‘Rogue One’, while also criticising ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ and its diverse cast of actors. The fact that ‘The Force Awakens’ went on to amass $2.068 billion and became the third-highest grossing film of all time suggests that the Nazis’s predictions regarding ‘Rogue One’ are going to be well wide of the mark.
Twitter soon lit up with users rightly admonishing and poking fun at the far right for their thoughts on ‘Rogue One’:
Wait… Neo Nazis are calling for a boycott of Rogue One because it hurts their feelings? Do they need a safe space? Who's a snowflake?

What do we say to the neo-Nazis protesting Rogue One?
Yeah fine, stay out please.

Haven't seen #RogueOne yet, and I already love it… it's making neo-nazis cry! If they didn't know, #starwars is about fighting oppression!

We don’t have long to wait and see how many people actually flock to ‘Rogue One’, as it will finally be with us on December 15, a full day before our US counterparts get a chance to see it.
