Netflix's first-ever interactive rom-com Choose Love has finally arrived on the streaming service.

Following in the footsteps of Black Mirror's interactive thriller Bandersnatch, Choose Love allows viewers to create their own story as they control the outcome of the protagonist's love life.

Starring Laura Marano, Avan Jogia and Scott Michael Foster, the synopsis for the film says it follows "Cami, a recording engineer who seems to have everything: a dream job, a steady boyfriend, and a bright future.

"But things have turned out a bit different than she planned. As she reassesses her life, Cami's fate is entirely up to you — from choosing a new career path to rethinking her relationships."

As the film plays out, viewers are given different choices that affect how the story will unfold. For example, you can pick whether Cami goes for it and kisses different suitors, or not.

You'll be able to view this title on various devices, such as smart TVs, game consoles, internet browsers, and streaming media players such as Roku or Fire TV Sticks.

If you see the "spark" badge displayed on the preview of Choose Love, that means you will be able to get involved. If not, or if you see a message that says your device is not supported, you will need to try a more up-to-date way of viewing.

To get involved, you can use your TV remote, gaming controller, computer mouse, or your finger on touch screen devices to make choices as they pop up.

Choose Love is directed by A Perfect Pairing's Stuart McDonald, and written by Runaway Bride's Josann McGibbon. It joins other popular interactive options on Netflix including Cat Burglar, Headspace: Unwind Your Mind, and Trivia Quest.

Speaking ahead of Choose Love's release, Scott described what it was like to shoot the interactive film, saying they "basically shot three full movies."

"It's one of those things where you show up with the day's sides, and you do a scene that's X, Y, and Z. And then you go back and say 'Okay, well now, you did X and Y, and now we're gonna change Z.' And then you go back and do, 'Okay, X and Z are the same, now change Y.'" he told Movie Web.

He also said the film gives viewers "tonnes of different choice points to choose from" and that there are "16 different endings."

Choose Love is available to watch now on Netflix.
