Norman Reedus Wants To Play Marvel’s Ghost Rider

‘The Walking Dead’ star Norman Reedus wants to be Ghost Rider.

During an interview with Uproxx, the 47-year-old America actor revealed that he’d love to star as Marvel’s otherworldly hero, Ghost Rider.

“Hell yeah,” he said. “It would be a blast. Do I get a skull face that’s on fire and all that stuff? F**k yeah. I’m down.”

Ghost Rider last took to the big screen in 2012 for the superhero sequel, ‘Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance’ following the original ‘Ghost Rider’ movie back in 2007.

Starring Nicolas Cage, the ‘Ghost Rider’ movies follow the story of stunt rider Johnny Blaze – a motorcycle stunt rider who makes a pact with a demon called Mephistopheles in order to save his father.

But when the demon calls in his debt, Blaze becomes the Ghost Rider.

Although the movies were met with mostly negative reviews, ‘Ghost Rider’ was a commercial success… and managed to spawn a sequel which was met with derision by fans and critics alike.

But could Norman Reedus redeem the Ghost Rider?

Reedus is perhaps best known for his recurring role as Daryl Dixon in ‘The Walking Dead’. But his love of motorcycles has led to Reedus starring in his own non-fiction series, ‘Ride with Norman Reedus’.

And that’s perhaps why fans are keen to see him saddle up as Ghost Rider.

Most importantly, there have been plenty of rumours about a ‘Ghost Rider’ TV series which could follow the likes of ‘Daredevil’ and ‘Jessica Jones’ to Netflix.

Whether or not that happens remains to be seen…

But would Reedus make a great Ghost Rider? F**k yeah.
