The original T-Rex from Jurassic Park returning for Jurassic World 2
She’s back.
The fearsome – not to say iconic – Tyrannosaurus Rex from ‘Jurassic Park’ will return for a starring role in ‘Jurassic World 2’, it’s been confirmed.
Also making a comeback in the first ‘Jurassic World’ movie, in a scrap with the genetically superior Indominus Rex, director Colin Trevorrow, who has co-written and is producing the sequel, dropped the news on Twitter.
Asked by a fan if ‘Rexy’ – as the creature has become affectionately known among Jurassic devotees – would be appearing, and then posting a picture of his daughter with a plush T-Rex, Trevorrow replied:
“Confirmed. Tell her when she wakes up.”

And this is, in fact, more or less all we know for sure about ‘Jurassic World 2’ at this stage, with Universal and director J.A. Bayona keeping tight-lipped on the plot.
There’s long been rumours of a plot involving ‘militarised’, intelligent dinosaurs, from long before the new iteration of the dinosaur theme park arrived – with disastrous results – in 2015.
But whether such creatures will feature in JW2 is so far unknown.
We do know that there are some new players joining Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, however, including Toby Jones, Rafe Spall, James Cromwell and Ted Levine.
The new movie is due out on June 22, 2018.
