Podrick actor Daniel Portman has been sexually assaulted repeatedly by ‘Game Of Thrones’ fans
Daniel Portman, who plays Podrick in Game Of Thrones, has opened up about being sexually assaulted by fans of the show on a repeated basis.
In Walk Of Punishment, the third episode of the third season of Game Of Thrones, several prostitutes refuse to take payment from his character Podrick because of his sexual prowess.
During a recent interview with Esquire, Portman admitted that this had led umpteen viewers of the show to cross the line and grab his genitals in public.

“I’ve been grabbed by so many… like the amount of like older, older women who are very…” at this point he then made a grabbing gesture.
“What can you do? You know? Obviously tell them not to do it. It hasn’t happened for a while. In this day and age you’d think that people would be able to separate reality from fiction.”
“I don’t want to say [being groped] comes with the territory, but, you know, people are crazy about it. It’s certainly not cool.”
Portman also admitted that, from time to time, he has used Podrick’s reputation to his advantage.
“I was 20 when that happened, so it was kind of like a kid in a candy shop. When you tell a 20-year-old actor, who’s sort of stumbled onto this big TV show, that all of a sudden you’re meant to be Casanova, people all over the world wonder whether or not it’s true. I would be lying if I said that that hadn’t been fun.”

Portman recently wowed Game Of Thrones viewers with his singing voice, as the second episodes of its final season, A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms, concluded with him singing Jenny Of Oldstones.
Whether his dulcet tones will be enough to survive the final episodes of the show still remains to be seen.
