Ridley Scott appears to be a fast worker.

From announcing only the other day that 'Prometheus 2' is indeed in development, he's now given us further update.

“'Prometheus 2' is written,” he told Empire. “I have already got the next two films ready to go. That will be 2014, 2015.”

“I thought I’d left science-fiction for too long, that I had better climb back in. 'Prometheus' was a great experience for me. Chasing number two, we can start evolving the grand idea.”

However, the '2015' project he is talking about may not be the 'Prometheus' sequel, which has been penned by Jack Paglen, writer of the forthcoming sci-fi thriller 'Transcendence'.

The 2014 film will be his biblical epic 'Exodus', which he's currently shooting, with Christian Bale as Moses, alongside Aaron Paul, Sigourney Weaver, Joel Edgerton and Ben Kingsley.

The 2015 film could well be 'The Forever War', a sci-fi project based on Joe Halderman's 1974 novel of the same name, and one that Scott has been chasing to adapt for the screen for 30 years.

It was announced this time last year that a script was being penned for Scott, adapted by 'All You Need Is Kill' writer Dante Harper, and added to the magazine: “We’ve finally got a very good draft of that for Fox.”

But of course, he is also planning 'Blade Runner 2', so where these all fit together in his schedule is frankly anyone's guess.

'Exodus' is slated for release next Christmas.
