Rebel Moon — Part One: A Child of Fire spoilers follow.

Rebel Moon — Part Two: The Scargiver has confirmed its runtime, which is slightly shorter than the first movie.

The upcoming sequel to Zack Snyder's recently-released sci-fi epic, Rebel Moon — Part One: A Child of Fire, will land on Netflix on April 19, and will run at just over two hours.

More specifically, the film will last two hours and two minutes, according to the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC).

Compared to its predecessor, which lasted two hours and 13 minutes, the sequel's runtime is roughly 10 minutes shorter — with more action likely to be condensed into the movie as a result.

Following on from Part One's cliffhanger ending, Part Two will continue the story of Kora and the rebels against the might of the Motherworld.

The film will see Sofia Boutella reprise her role as Kora, alongside Michel Huisman as Gunnar, Ed Skrein as villain Atticus Noble and Fra Fee as Motherworld leader Regent Balisarius.

Despite Darrian Bloodaxe (Ray Fisher) sacrificing himself to destroy the Motherworld's ship in the first film, the trailer for Part Two reveals that Darrian will return — most likely in flashback sequences.

Speaking recently to Digital Spy, Fisher opened up about the anticipated sequel, where he promised "more action, wild battles, and a lot more of an intimate look at all the characters".

Meanwhile, Boutella went on to reveal that Part Two will also provide context for the characters, as well as offering viewers a glimpse into each of their backgrounds.

"What I can say is that we'll get more context, and we will get to go individually, with each and every character, deeper, to get to know them," she said. "Most of the characters are really well-defined. You'll get a backstory. That's what I can say. You'll get to really get to know them, and why they are the way they are. The whole group will get to know them deeper."
