Richard Osman reveals exciting Thursday Murder Club movie filming update
The Thursday Murder Club is one of our most-anticipated upcoming movies, and Richard Osman has shared an exciting update for the Netflix adaptation.
Talking on The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X, Osman revealed that today (September 11) marks the final day of filming on the movie, which has been in production since late June in the UK.
"I've been down [to set] a few times, I'm leaving them to it – my job is to write the book, they're making the film of it – but I've been down a few times," he said.
Osman hasn't been the only big name on The Thursday Murder Club movie set though as producer Steven Spielberg also visited it last month.

However, even though he's been on set, Osman ruled out appearing in the movie in a cameo when asked by Chris Moyles.
"I might do one little voice thing, but I can't be [in it]. People going, 'Why is the guy from Pointless in a Sussex police station?'. It'd be a bit odd," he explained, although you'll notice he didn't rule out a Spielberg cameo...
We still don't have a confirmed release date for The Thursday Murder Club movie, but Osman added that it "should be out next year" albeit with the caveat that "who knows with films".

While The Thursday Murder Club are coming to the screen, Osman has actually taken a break from the crime-solving pensioners for his new series We Solve Murders, which is also set to be adapted by Netflix.
Don't worry though as he has also started working on a fifth book in The Thursday Murder Club series, and there's also a theatre production in the works separate from the Netflix movie.
The Thursday Murder Club movie does not yet have a release date.
