Play nice now, droids.

Alan Tudyk, currently delighting audiences as KS20 in ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,’ has recounted meeting the original ‘Star Wars’ droid actor Anthony Daniels, who has portrayed C3PO in every other entry in the series to date.

Daniels has a reputation for being a somewhat prickly character, and was known to have had a troubled relationship with the late R2D2 actor Kenny Baker.

And it seems Daniels was a wee bit terse when meeting his latest fellow droid actor Tudyk.

Appearing on Conan O’Brien, Tudyk – whose impressive, wide-ranging CV includes the likes of ‘Serenity,’ ‘Dodgeball,’ ‘I, Robot,’ ‘Knocked Up,’ and voice work on ‘Frozen,’ ‘Wreck-it Ralph’ and ‘Big Hero 6’ – recounted meeting Daniels during production on ‘Rogue One.’

“He came up to the set while we were shooting, and I met him… (he) went on about the suit that he had to wear and that ‘originally they put screws in my head and they closed it,’ and he had to be up on this thing.

“And he said, ‘Wait a minute, are you wearing an actual robot costume, or are they doing it in motion capture?’ I said, ‘motion capture.’ He said, ‘You sh*t.’

“And then I saw him at the premiere, I said hello again, and I said, ‘I’m going to ask you for notes when this is over, if you can please tell me how I did.’

“And I saw him at the party afterwards and he came up and said, ‘f**k you.’ And that’s one of the best compliments I’ve got!”
