Sarah Michelle Gellar and Selma Blair recreate 'Cruel Intentions' kiss - with a twist
Sarah Michelle Gellar and Selma Blair have recreated their Cruel Intentions - with a coronavirus-influenced twist.
The iconic 1999 film saw their characters lock lips in the teen drama all about love, sex and deception, and the pair were more than happy to revisit the memorable moment.
In celebration of Blair's 48th birthday on 23 June, Gellar shared a throwback photo of the pair at the 2000 MTV Movie Awards where they picked up the gong for Best Kiss.

"Since I will have to stay six feet away from you today (and wear a mask) this will be as close as I get to giving you a birthday kiss. Happy Birthday @selmablair," she wrote.
The following day, the Buffy the Vampire Slayer star shared an update confirming that she "got [her] kiss" as she appeared in a snap alongside Blair who was giving her a peck on top of a mask decorated with bejewelled lips.
Blair wrote in response: "This was a great birthday. I love your masked kisses."
The film turned 20 years old last year and was honoured with a return to cinemas on the special anniversary.
The two women have remained friends over the years, with Gellar supporting Blair following her diagnosis of multiple sclerosis in 2018.
Speaking to US Weekly in 2019, Gellar said of her friend: "I think she’s tougher than I ever thought. I’ve always thought of her as the goofy, silly Selma, but to see her, this other side of her—this serious, this dedicated to her health, to her recovery, to be able to commit to what it takes and to try new things and just to be so brave—is truly inspiring."
Blair, a mother of one, first publicly discussed her diagnosis in 2018 as she disclosed she’d been experiencing symptoms “for years”.
