The long-mooted eighth movie in the ‘Saw’ series could be filming later this year, according to reports.

Movie site Bloody Disgusting has unearthed what looks like a listing for the movie on a Canadian website which posts filming and production schedules.

It appears that it’s happening in Toronto from late September for one month until late October.

Just dubbed 'Legacy’, the big picture of creepy Saw puppet Billy gives things away somewhat.

It emerged last year Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger were on scriptwriting duties, the pair behind 'Piranha’ and its sequel 'Piranha 3DD’.]

It was also also said that Leigh Wannell and James Wan, creators of the long-running series, were on board as executive producers.

The seventh movie in the series, 'Saw 3D’, also known as 'Saw: The Final Chapter’, sounded relatively final.

But with the movies making nearly $900 million in all, it seems it’s time for another bite of the cherry.

The movies were released every year around Halloween between 2004 and 2010, the final movie seeing a bump in box office returns following the dismal $68 million performance of 'Saw VI’.

The first movie, made on a micro-budget of $1.2 million, made back $103.9 million, peaking by the second movie with $147 million.

No word yet on when the new movie might be released… but Halloween 2017 would be a safe-ish bet.
