Seth Rogen has admitted that Marvel movies are “just not for me” as he thinks they are more for children.

The Hollywood star, 40, is a producer on hit TV show The Boys, which is based on a comic book and is about superheroes but is aimed at more of an adult audience.

And he told Total Film magazine that he was a comic book fan when he was growing up.

In the interview, Rogen called Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige “brilliant” and said that he had hired some great filmmakers to make the movies.

“But as someone who doesn’t have children… It is [all] kind of geared toward kids, you know?" he added.

“There are times where I will forget. I’ll watch one of these things, as an adult with no kids, and be like, ‘Oh, this is just not for me’.”

However, Rogen - whose own films include Knocked Up, Pineapple Express and The Fabelmans - also revealed that The Boys owed a lot to Marvel.

He said that without it then the show probably wouldn’t be interesting or even exist.
