Simon Cowell to make Pudsey film

Following the Paul Potts biopic, Syco Entertainment will bring its second Britain's Got Talent story to the screen

Simon Cowell's Syco Entertainment is to make a movie about 'Britain's Got Talent' winners Pudsey and Ashleigh.

'Pudsey: The Movie' will star the famous dancing dog with his owner and trainer Ashleigh Butler, and will start shooting in the spring, while looking at a release for Christmas this year.

The pair won the 2012 'Britain's Got Talent' title, and went on to appear at the Royal Variety Performance.

Pudsey and Ashleigh have since gone on to appear on 'America's Got Talent' and on the Jay Leno show in the US.

“We’re delighted to be developing this idea with Syco and we can’t wait to bring Pudsey to the big screen. It will be great, feel-good, fun entertainment for all the family,” said Rupert Preston of producers Vertigo.

This will mark Cowell's third foray into the movie business.

He's already juggling production of 'Supersize Me' director Morgan Spurlock's documentary about One Direction and 'One Chance', the biopic of Paul Potts, 'Britain's Got Talent's first winner who is being played by James Corden.
