Simon Pegg's new movie confirms UK release date with first trailer
Simon Pegg's new movie has confirmed a UK release date, alongside a first trailer of the dark comedy.
Nandor Fodor and the Talking Mongoose will premiere on Prime Video on October 20, and features Pegg (Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One) as "famed paranormal pyschologist" Dr. Fodor on a – literal – wild goose chase.
The first trailer for the film shows Pegg investigating the Irving family's reports of a talking animal, which claims to be a mongoose that knows secrets from beyond the grave.
Soon, though, Dr. Fodor "uncovers a mysterious web of hidden motives," and "everyone becomes a suspect in his relentless pursuit of the truth".

Described by Dr. Fodor in the trailer as an "inexplicable farce," the pursuit of the mongoose, whose name is Gef, is teased to end in violence – and is "based on (possibly) true events".
The film's first look also gives viewers a glimpse at Nandor Fodor and the Talking Mongoose's A-List cast.
Appearing alongside Pegg will be Back to the Future's Christopher Lloyd as Dr Harry Price, Minnie Driver (The Witcher: Blood Origin) as Anne, and Game of Thrones' Paul Kaye as Maurice.
Neil Gaiman – writer of The Sandman books – also stars as the voice of Gef. The film is written and directed by Adam Sigal.

Meanwhile, Pegg recently spoke about the chances of there being a Shaun of the Dead 2, telling fans they need to "move on".
"If I ever do an Instagram Live or whatever, people are always like, 'I need Shaun of the Dead 2 in my life'," he said.
"And I'm like, 'No, you don’t f**king need Shaun of the Dead 2! The last thing you need is Shaun of the Dead 2! It's done. Move on!'"
Nandor Fodor and the Talking Mongoose will be available to stream on Prime Video on October 20.
