Smoking banned from Disney movie
Habit that killed the animation legend was left out of Saving Mr Banks.
Walt Disney was a notorious chain-smoker.
However, the forthcoming movie about his struggle to prise the story of 'Mary Poppins' from the book's author P.L. Travers does not feature the habit that killed him.
Any smoking in the film, directed by John Lee Hancock and produced by Alison Owen, was prohibited by the Disney company.

There is a blanket ban on smoking across the company’s movies.
“They told us there could be no smoking,” Owen told an audience at the Napa Valley Film Festival, who were shown an advance screening of the film.
Tom Hanks, who plays Disney in the film is, however, once seen going through the action of putting out a cigarette, though you can't seen the cigarette itself, or any smoke coming from it.

Though he made sure he was never seen smoking around children, Disney was well-known for his habit.
His incessant cough was said to 'mark his presence in a room', caused by smoking unfiltered Lucky Strike brand cigarettes.
After having his left lung removed, he died from complications relating to his cancer in 1966.
The film, which also stars Colin Farrell, Jason Schwartzman, Paul Giamatti and Emma Thompson as Travers, is out in the UK on November 29.
