Hanks reveals his Disney
New featurette from Saving Mr Banks unveils more from Hanks and Thompson.
Tom Hanks reveals more of his take on Walt Disney from the Mouse House's inward-looking 'Saving Mr Banks'.
The 'Captain Philips' star is smoother than a sack of greased otters as the moustachioed charmer Disney, desperately trying to persuade author P.L. Travers to let him turn her novel Mary Poppins in to a movie.
[First look: Colin Farrell in Saving Mr Banks]
Inspired by the real-life tussle between Travers and Disney, it details how Travers projected her own life into the book, notably her relationship with her father, played in the film by Colin Farrell.
Relinquishing the story from her, alongside Disney, are the Sherman brothers, the legendary composers and lyricists hired for the film, who also wrote the music for 'The Jungle Book' and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang'.
[Thompson loved being rude in Mr Banks]
Here they're played by indie regular Jason Schwartzman and B.J. Novak, while Paul Giamatti pitches up as Travers' chauffeur, Victoria Summer as Julie Andrews and Kristopher Kyer as Dick Van Dyke.
The film is out in the UK on November 29.
