Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has teased the addition of yet another Spider-Man variant with a brand-new image of Oscar Isaac's Miguel O'Hara.

The official Spider-Verse Twitter account posted an image of O'Hara's scarlet-clad Spider-Man. The caption read: "See more sides of Miguel O'Hara when Spider-Man: Across the #SpiderVerse is exclusively in theaters June 2."

O'Hara was first introduced during the end-credits scene of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. In that scene, O'Hara appeared in another dimension and travelled to the universe that the Spider-Man from the 1967 animated series existed in and argued with him, recreating the famous pointing meme.

This is another drip of information for fans of the movie, which follows Deadpool star Karan Soni being cast in the Spider-Verse sequel.

Soni will play Spider-Man India — another multiversal variant of the web-slinger to go alongside the many, many others viewers can expect to see during the movie.

One of the variants we saw in the first movie was Nicolas Cage's Spider-Man Noir. Cage recently addressed a possible return to the role and, sadly, it sounds like he won't be reprising the part in Across the Spider-Verse.

"You'd have to ask Sony. I don't know what's going on with that. No one's spoken to me about that," Cage said.

"Ask them. I don't know. I really don't. I wish they would. I love Spider-Man Noir, too. I think that's a great character."

Cage continued: "Spider-Man's the coolest superhero. And then you combine that with Cagney and Bogart and Edward G Robinson, come on. It's a great character."

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has a cinema release date of June 2, 2023 in the US.
