Spider-Man: Far From Home makes history with $1billion box office
Spider-Man: Far From Home has passed $1 billion - around £808 million - at the worldwide box office, becoming the first Spider-Man movie to reach the landmark haul.
The only other Spidey movie to come close was Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3 in 2007, which made $890.9 million, with Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker.

In it, he faced off against James Franco's incarnation of the Green Goblin and Thomas Haden Church's Sandman.
But despite its massive box office, it was met with sluggish reviews, the late Roger Ebert branding it 'a mess'.
Spider-Man: Homecoming, the previous movie in the current Spider-Man series, also came pretty close to the $1 billion marker, but fell just short at $880 million.
But it's Far From Home, which sees Tom Holland's Peter Parker desperately trying to court Zendaya's MJ while simultaneously battling a mysterious force of nature, that has broken the dam.

British star Holland has played Peter Parker since 2016, first appearing in Captain America: Civil War, and then in Homecoming, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame.
