Star Wars favourite Oscar Isaac and The OA's Emory Cohen may have found their weirdest movie project to date: Big Gold Brick.

This dark comedy just released its first trailer, with The Godfather Part III star Andy Garcia, Megan Fox and Pretty Little Liars' Lucy Hale also in attendance.

Judging by the footage on show (above), this film's tone is all over the place – in the best possible way.

An official synopsis details how Big Gold Brick follows "fledgling writer Samuel Liston and his experiences with Floyd Deveraux, the enigmatic middle-aged father of two who enlists Samuel to write his biography.

"But the circumstances that lead up to this arrangement in the first place are quite astonishing – and efforts to write the biography are quickly stymied by ensuing chaos."

It marks the feature debut of director Brian Petsos. Isaac is also an executive producer on the movie, alongside Kristen Wiig.

The final quarter of 2021 has been particularly busy for Isaac after starring in Dune: Part One, HBO series Scenes from a Marriage and The Card Counter, so it'll be interesting to see whether this'll continue his sparkling form.

His upcoming projects also include Marvel's Moon Knight TV series, where he'll be appearing in the title role, and a starring part as Solid Snake in the Metal Gear Solid movie.

Meanwhile, Fox and Garcia have both signed up to appear in The Expendables 4, which will also feature returning stars Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren and Randy Couture, as well as series newcomers 50 Cent and Tony Jaa.

Big Gold Brick arrives in US cinemas, on demand and on digital on February 25, while a UK release date is yet to be announced.
