Watch: Samaritan trailer
The first trailer has been released for Sylvester Stallone's upcoming action-thriller Samaritan.
In his first live action role since 2019's Rambo: Last Blood, Stallone will play the titular Samaritan, a retired superhero who has to return to do battle in a city plagued with crime.
The trailer shows Stallone working as garbage collector in the fictional Granite City when a teenage boy he saves from bullies becomes convinced he is the Samaritan who was last seen 25 years earlier.

The teaser shows gives a glimpse of villain Pilou Asbaek who will be playing a crime lord called Cyrus.
Also in the cast are Euphoria star Javon Walton, comedian Martin Starr, former Hannah Montana actor Moises Arias and Dascha Polanco from Orange is the New Black.
Samaritan is directed by Julius Avery who is best known for making the sci-fi World War II action movie Overlord which also starred Asbaek.
The release of Samaritan has been pushed back several times with the film initially supposed to premiere in the winter of 2020 but that was pushed back after the Covid-19 pandemic halted filming earlier in the year.
Samaritan is now confirmed to be released worldwide on Amazon Prime Video on 26 August.
Stallone has also been filming the fourth installment of The Expendables series which will see him reunite with the likes of Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren and Randy Couture for another action-packed outing.
Joining the cast are an ensemble of players including Megan Fox, 50 Cent, Iko Uwais, Tony Jaa, Andy Garcia and Britain's Strongest Man Eddie Hall.
The Expendables 4 is set to be released in 2023, eight years after the third film.
Actors not returning from the third film include Stallone's fellow action legends Arnold Schwarzenegger, Harrison Ford and Wesley Snipes as well as younger cast members including Top Gun: Maverick star Glen Powell and MMA fighter Ronda Rousey.
Samaritan will stream on Prime Video from 26 August.
