Brie Larson came face to face with her mini-me at the European Gala launch of Captain Marvel last night. The star was interviewed on the blue carpet by a young girl who was dressed as her character in the upcoming Marvel superhero film.The youngster appeared to at the event representing The Female Lead, a non-profit organisation “dedicated to making women’s stories more visible and offering alternative role models to those ever-present in popular culture.” According the company’s Twitter account, the young girl’s name was Illy. In shocker-not-shocker news, Disney has finally announced who it is Jude Law is playing in “Captain Marvel.” And yep, it’s exactly what fans have assumed to be the case ever since Law joined the cast. A photo posted Thursday to Disney Movies spells it out plainly: “Jude Law as Mar-Vell, the leader of Starforce.” See the photo for yourself above. Created in 1967 by Stan Lee and Gene Colan, in the comics he’s the original Captain Marvel, a celebrated Kree warrior who comes to earth in order to to observe humanity and assess if we are a threat to the Kree.

The annual gathering is a big moment for the U.K.’s massive population of Harry Potter fans. Each year on September 1st, they flock to King’s Cross by the thousands, often dressed as their favorite character from J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World, to commemorate the day young wizards and witches from across the U.K. make their way to Platform 9 ¾ to board the iconic steamer that whisks them off to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Fans lined up for hours at a popular photo point to get a shot of themselves pushing a luggage trolley “through” the brick wall to recreate Harry and others’ passage through the magical barrier and onto Platform 9 ¾, with staff on-hand to help with the finishing touches, such as their Hogwarts scarf. But in the place of staff members, fans reached the front of the line to find none other than Redmayne and Law standing by to assist. Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, the second of five all new adventures in the Wizarding World, comes to cinemas on 16 November, 2018, from Warner Bros. Pictures.
