Watch: Art the Clown torments another victim in Terrifier 2

With Halloween looming, Terrifier 2 — a film about a sinister clown — has become the most talked-about horror film of the season.

The sequel to 2016's Terrifier, which was released earlier this month in North America, has prompted reports from cinemas of audience members fainting, and some even vomiting.

We're thrilled to have teamed up with Signature Entertainment, who is releasing Terrifier 2 in the UK on 24 October, to share an exclusive clip from the much-hyped horror film.

It shows the sinister Art the Clown (David Howard Thornton), up to his usual tricks, tormenting a potential victim (Lauren LaVera) in a Halloween store. Watch it above.

Talking to Entertainment Weekly, its writer-director Damien Leone admitted that he was surprised by the reaction.

"I would have loved to have a couple of walk-outs, I think that's sort of a badge of honour because it is an intense movie," Leone said. "I don't want people fainting, getting hurt during the movie. But it's surreal."

Here's a synopsis for the film: "Who is laughing now? Finally, a sequel that truly delivers. After being resurrected by a sinister entity, demented Art the Clown returns to the timid town of Miles County where he targets a bereaved family, especially teenage Sienna and her younger brother Jonathan. And it’s Halloween night too so pray you don’t get in deranged Art’s way!

"David Howard Thornton (Terrifier) is back as Art the Clown, alongside Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp) and Griffin Santopietro (Cobra Kai). Terrifier 2 is written & directed by Damien Leone (Terrifier) who also designs and creates all the special effects."

Signature Entertainment presents Terrifier 2 on Digital Platforms, DVD and Blu-ray alongside Terrifier 1 & 2 Blu-ray box-set out 24 October. Watch the trailer below.
