The Internet has a favourite new meme, thanks to ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’.
A hilarious new viral gag has stormed social media and fan forums, parodying an infamous scene in the Marvel studio’s latest comic book offering.

In ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’, we learn that an evil organisation known as HYDRA has somehow infiltrated the good guys at S.H.I.E.L.D. as part of a massive conspiracy.
During one particular scene, Senator Stern (played by Garry Shandling) less than subtly whispers “Hail HYDRA” to S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Agent Sitwell (Maximiliano Hernandez). Cue fanboy shock!
We even see Robert Redford’s World Security Council leader Alexander Pierce say the phrase out loud at one point.
Naturally, the Internet took this dramatic “stage whisper”, and did what it does best: it took the mickey…
