'The Fanatic': See John Travolta like you've never seen him before in exclusive new clip

John Travolta’s latest film The Fanatic is finally getting its UK release on Monday, 8 June, and we’ve got a brand new clip from the film to give you a taste of one of his most talked-about roles in years.

The film, written and directed by Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst, sees Travolta playing Moose, a celebrity obsessed fan who feels slighted by his favourite movie star at an autograph convention.

This sets him off on an unhinged quest to get a response, leading to a home invasion and a very long night that changes both men irreparably.

As you can see from the clip above, which sees Moose visiting a memorabilia store, the Oscar-nominated Pulp Fiction star gives a unique performance and is barely recognisable beneath his mullet, stubble, and shaved side burns combo.

The clip features Travolta delivering his infamous first line of dialogue from the film, which Collider suggested may go on to become one of the film’s most quoted moments: “I can’t talk long, I gotta poo.”

The film was released in the US in 2019 where critics recognised Travolta’s “exceptionally committed” performance. Not long after its release, its makers ran “for your consideration” ads touting the star for awards recognition.

Now UK audiences can make their own minds up when The Fanatic lands on digital download on Monday 8 June ahead of its physical release on 20 July.
