'My Three Sons' then and now: What the cast is up to today

"My Three Sons" are now grown-up with children of their own.

From 1960 to 1972, Fred MacMurray starred as the widowed dad to three boys: Mike, Robbie and Chip. (And, eventually, the adopted Ernie.) The beloved sitcom was a TV staple, airing on ABC for its first five years before moving to CBS. MacMurray passed away nearly two decades ago, but some of his on-screen family members are alive and well in 2019.

The oldest son was played by Tim Considine, now 78 years old. Considine grew up in the entertainment industry; not only was his father was an Oscar-nominated producer, but his grandfather was a pioneer of vaudeville in the early 1900s. He wed actress Charlotte Stewart, who played Miss Beadle on "Little House on the Prairie," in 1965, and they divorced a few years later.

However, Considine realized as a young man that Hollywood just wasn't for him. He became an expert in all things automobiles and has authored and taken photographs for several books about motor sports.

Real-life brothers Stanley Livingston and Barry Livingston became adopted siblings on the show after Considine was written out. Stanley played Chip, and he's the only actor other than MacMurray who remained on the show through its entire run. A successful actor and producer, he's now 68 years old.

Barry, 65, has perhaps the longest acting resume of any of his co-stars. He's appeared on dozens of TV shows through the years, including "Mad Men," "Angie Tribeca" and "The Middle." He's also been in a number of Oscar-nominated films, including "Argo" and "The Social Network," both of which were Best Picture nominees.

No longer with us is Don Grady, who played Robbie and entered the music industry after the show ended. He released an original album in 2008. Grady died in 2012 at 68 years old.
