Uncharted has unveiled a new look at Tom Holland in an official poster.

The upcoming action flick sees the Spider-Man actor take on the character of treasure hunter Nathan Drake from the video game series, starring alongside Mark Wahlberg as Victor 'Sully' Sullivan.

Studio Sony has now released the movie's official poster, showing the pair in what appears to be very uncharted territory.

It comes a few months after fans were given a first trailer including a neat homage to the video games, with Holland's character doing a death-defying stunt out of a plane – taken directly from Uncharted 3.

The movie will act as a prequel and follow a younger Drake as he and mentor Sully embark on their first adventure together to find "the greatest treasure never found", which may also lead to Drake's long-lost brother.

Uncharted is also set to star Antonio Banderas, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina's Tati Gabrielle and Grey's Anatomy's Sophia Taylor Ali.

However, don't count on seeing Nolan North – who voices Drake in the games – as the star has ruled out an appearance in the movie.

"Part of me is fine with it, and part of me is like, 'It'd be nice if you asked!' It's not a big deal," he said. "I'm actually looking forward to it and I think people should look forward to it. Give them a chance.

"We've never seen Nathan Drake in his 20s and a Sully in his 40s. It could be interesting. I like the fact they're going to do a different spin on it and I'm looking forward to seeing how they do."

Uncharted is released in UK cinemas on February 11, 2022 and in US cinemas on February 18, 2022.
