Venom 3's release window has been confirmed.

A Variety piece about Ted Lasso stars Hannah Waddington and Juno Temple's upcoming projects states that the third Venom movie, which Temple is set to star in, had its script written before the Writers Guild of America strike.

That means that production is still expected to go ahead, and is set for an October 2024 release.

It's not known exactly when filming will begin, but Temple stated that cameras are scheduled to start rolling "very, very soon, which I’m thrilled about".

Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part Two, which Waddingham stars in, is similarly unaffected by the strike, and is already in production.

The actors are both in total support of the writers strike, with Waddingham quoted as stating: "We had to stand fully firm with them on the picket line, because 100% none of us would be here without the genius and expertise in that room."

Not much is known about the plot of the third Venom movie, but writer Kelly Marcel is stepping up to direct as well as co-write with Tom Hardy.

Andy Serkis, who directed the second film, explained why he isn't returning for the third, stating: "I've got so many projects that I was just about to [work on], like Animal Farm for instance. We were just about to go into production with that, and then we delayed as Venom came up.

"I really have to be very on top of the ones that I've been building to do for such a long time.

“But I'm really delighted that Kelly's doing that. She's so in control of that material with Tom. The pair of them are such a great team to work with. I'm really excited to see what they're going to come up with."
