Vin Diesel unveils his debut single

We've seen him crooning at awards shows, so it was perhaps only a matter of time before Fast & Furious actor Vin Diesel took his next steps into the world of music.

Called Feel Like I Do, Diesel debuted his first solo single on The Kelly Clarkson Show in US, a pop-EDM number produced by the Norwegian hitmaker Kygo.

Introducing it in his uniquely gruff delivery, he explained: “I am blessed that in a year that I would normally be on a movie set – but as you know that's not possible – I've had another creative outlet. Another way to share with you my heart.

“To that end, one of the first people to believe in me was Kygo... I hope you like it.”

In a separate post to his Instagram page, he added: “For so long, I have been promising to release music... encouraged by you, to step out of my comfort zone.

“Thank you for believing in me. As always, I hope to make you proud.”

29-year-old Kygo has worked with the likes of Ed Sheeran, Zara Larsson and the Chainsmokers.

53-year-old Diesel, meanwhile, has documented his love of pop music online for many years, whether doing Rihanna karaoke in 2013, or dancing to Beyonce in 2014.

He also famously burst into song at the MTV Awards in 2015, singing the Charlie Puth/Wiz Khalifa single See You Again, in tribute to Paul Walker.

The ninth Fast & Furious movie was all set to arrive in May this year, but due to the pandemic, was shunted back nearly a whole year to April, 2021.
