Yahoo Movies Watch the first trailer for Daniel Craig's new movie Queer
Daniel Craig could be in awards contention this year for his new movie Queer, the latest release from Challengers director Luca Guadagnino.
The steamy first trailer for Queer has now been unveiled which sees Craig's writer William Lee yearning after young student Eugene Allerton (Drew Starkey) when he arrives in Mexico City.
The movie is based on the semi-autobiographical novel by William S Burroughs, and also stars Jason Schwartzman, Henrique Zaga, Omar Apollo and Leslie Manville in a role we guarantee you haven't seen her in before.
Queer will be released in UK cinemas by MUBI on December 13, shortly after its US release on November 27. Check out the first trailer above.

Queer has had a successful festival run, screening at the likes of Venice International Film Festival and the BFI London Film Festival.
At the time of writing, the movie stands at a 78% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with praise for Daniel Craig and Drew Starkey's performances.
Talking ahead of the release, Craig has explained how they approached the intimate sex scenes in Queer.
"We just wanted to make it as touching and as real and as natural as we possibly could," he said. "Drew is a wonderful, fantastic [and] beautiful actor to work with. We kind of had a laugh – we tried to make it fun."

Guadagnino reunited with a lot of the creative team who made Challengers, including writer Justin Kuritzkes, editor Marco Costa, cinematographer Sayombhu Mukdeeprom and costume designer JW Anderson.
You can also expect another memorable score from Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross who provided the music for Queer.
Queer is released in US cinemas on November 27 and in UK cinemas on December 13.
