Watch The BFG Drink Frobscottle And Let Off a HUGE Whizzpopper In This Exclusive New Clip

“Whizzpop, whizzbang, feel the bubbles go down.

“Whizzbang, whizzpop, bursting all around…”

Anyone well-acquainted with Roald Dahl’s ‘The BFG’ and the 1989 made-for-TV movie will remember the scene where the Big Friendly Giant introduces young orphan Sophie to Frobscottle - the giant’s drink of choice - before he proceeds to break wind (or Whizzpop in giant speak) with gleeful abandon.

We’re thrilled to be able to share an exclusive look at that famous moment from Steven Spielberg’s new live action adaptation in UK cinemas tomorrow.

Watch it above.

The magical drink, with bubbles that float downwards, causes the giant to do a “whizzpopper” - an explosive form of flatulence - that he describes as “a sign of true happiness”, although Sophie doesn’t seem convinced at first.

Starring Oscar-winner Mark Rylance as the Big Friendly Giant, newcomer Ruby Barnhill as Sophie alongside Rebecca Hall, Rafe Spall, Jermaine Clement, and Bill Hader, Steven Spielberg’s ‘The BFG’ comes to UK cinemas on Friday, 22 July.
