Wolfs: Brad Pitt and George Clooney will reunite on screen after 16 years in new Apple TV+ thriller

Brad Pitt and George Clooney, one of cinema’s favourite duos, will be returning to star in a film together for the first time in 16 years.

As revealed in a new 30 second teaser which was released on Tuesday, the Hollywood legends, who famously co-starred in Ocean’s Eleven, will be reuniting in Wolfs, a new comedy-thriller from Apple TV+.

In the short clip, the actors sit silently in a car, with Clooney’s character at the wheel, as the windscreen wipers creak backwards and forwards.

Wolfs is the stuff of fan dreams: an action-comedy about two professional fixers who end up being hired for the same job, and have to learn how to work alongside one another. It promises to have a similar flavour to the Ocean’s franchise, in which the actors starred together as master con men.

And while at this point finer details about the upcoming film are under wraps, a full length trailer is supposed to drop later today.

The new film has been written and directed by Jon Watts, who also directed the most recent Spider-Man trilogy starring Tom Holland, and is also set to star Austin Abrams (Euphoria), Amy Ryan (The Office) and Poorna Jagannathan (Never Have I Ever).

Pitt, 60, and Clooney, 63, who are real-life friends, have starred together in four films previously: Ocean's Eleven (2001), Ocean's Twelve (2004), Ocean's Thirteen (2007) and Burn After Reading (2008).

Pitt also had a cameo in Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (2002), a film directed by Clooney, and the pair will both voice act characters in John Krasinski’s upcoming animated action-comedy IF.

Wolfs will premiere in cinemas on September 20 before becoming available to stream on Apple TV+.
