Wolverine 3 Adds Eriq La Salle

It looks as though ‘Wolverine 3’ has added Eriq La Salle to its cast.

According to Variety, the 53-year-old American actor and director has joined the upcoming ‘X-Men’ spin-off, ‘Wolverine 3’.

“Eriq Lasalle is set to join the cast of ‘Wolverine 3’ starring Hugh Jackman,” they revealed. “Boyd Holbrook and Stephen Merchant are also on board. James Mangold is directing.”

But who will Eriq La Salle be playing?

“Plot details are being kept under wraps, as are details behind Lasalle’s role.”

Unfortunately, it looks as though that’s being kept firmly under wraps, along with the roles of recent additions Richard E. Grant and Stephen Merchant.

Of course, Eriq La Salle is best known for the recurring role of Dr Peter Benton in the NBC medical drama, ‘ER’. A series regular, he appeared on the show as a regular until Season 8 and even returned on various occasions as well as directing an episode in Season 15.

But more recently, he’s appeared in the TV series ‘A Gifted Man’ as well as Stephen King TV adaptation, ‘Under The Dome’.

Unfortunately, there’s nothing to go on when it comes to his ‘Wolverine 3’ role… and where previous cast additions have featured some glimmer of what character they might play, this time around we’re left completely in the dark.

‘Wolverine 3’ stars Hugh Jackman as the titular Wolverine… and is said to be an adaption of the iconic comic book series, ‘Old Man Logan’. Fellow ‘X-Men’ star Sir Patrick Stewart has been confirmed to joint eh cast, along with Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant and Richard E. Grant.

‘Wolverine 3’ heads to cinemas on 2 March 2017.
